COMMUNITY MARKETPLACE GUIDE

How the Zoa Scan
Marketplace works

Buy zoanthid frags from fellow UK reefkeepers or list your own surplus frags on your personal Frag Rack. Zoa Scan brings buyers and sellers together, while payment, collection and delivery are agreed directly between them.

STEP BY STEP

Selling through your Frag Rack

Create a trustworthy public profile, describe the exact frag honestly and connect the completed sale to the correct buyer.

  1. Create or sign in to your account

Select Join / sign in to access your account. You need an account to create listings, contact members, save frags, follow Frag Racks and leave feedback.

  2. Set up your Frag Rack

Your Frag Rack is your public seller profile and one shareable home for all your active community listings. Choose a display name, unique address, broad location, seller status and collection or postage options. You can add an image and short introduction, but never publish an exact address, payment details or other sensitive information.

  3. List your frag

Add a current photograph of the exact frag, its morph or best identification, polyp count, price, handover method and honest condition, treatment and live-arrival details. Zoa Scan reviews submissions before publication, but the seller remains responsible for every photograph, declaration and term.

  4. Speak with interested buyers

Reply through Zoa Scan and keep the important details in writing. Agree the exact frag, price, payment method, collection or postage, dispatch and any live-arrival terms directly. Zoa Scan does not take payment or arrange delivery.

  5. Mark the frag as sold

When the transaction is complete, use Mark sold & nominate buyer and carefully select the member who contacted you and bought that listing. The frag stops appearing as available and the selected buyer receives a confirmation request.

  6. Wait for buyer confirmation

The buyer chooses Confirm transaction or This was not my transaction. Only buyer confirmation changes the record to Transaction confirmed; seller nomination alone does not.

  7. Receive feedback

After confirmation, the buyer can leave a one-to-five-star rating and comment. Published feedback appears on your Frag Rack and you may leave one public response.

STEP BY STEP

Buying from a Frag Rack

Check the listing and seller, agree everything in writing and confirm only the transaction that actually took place.

  1. Create or sign in to your account

Anyone can browse. Sign in to contact a seller, save a frag, follow a Frag Rack, confirm a transaction or leave feedback.

  2. Find a frag

Browse community listings or open a seller's Frag Rack. Save frag keeps one listing in your shortlist; it does not reserve it. Follow Frag Rack keeps the seller easy to find and can show future approved listings; it does not contact them.

  3. Check the listing and seller

Review the exact photograph, morph, polyp count, price, seller status, feedback, handover options and condition information. Moderation is not livestock inspection, seller verification or a guarantee.

  4. Contact the seller

Use the listing's private message form. Before paying, agree the exact frag, total price, payment method, collection or postage, timing and live-arrival, refund or replacement terms in writing.

  5. Complete the transaction

Pay or collect only when comfortable with the seller and terms. Keep the listing, messages, photographs and payment evidence. If something feels wrong, stop and report the listing.

  6. Confirm the transaction

When the seller marks the frag sold and selects you, check the listing and seller. Choose Confirm transaction only if it happened, or This was not my transaction if the request is wrong.

  7. Leave star feedback

After confirmation, rate the description, communication, delivery where relevant and overall experience. Keep comments honest and never include addresses, phone numbers, payment information or abuse.

AFTER BUYER CONFIRMATION

Feedback closes the loop.

A confirmed buyer can leave one seller review with ratings for the overall experience, description accuracy, communication and, where relevant, delivery.

Transaction confirmed means the buyer and seller connected a transaction to one Zoa Scan listing. It does not mean Zoa Scan processed payment, inspected livestock or guaranteed delivery.

WHEN THINGS DO NOT GO TO PLAN

Stop, keep records and report concerns.

If a transaction does not go ahead

The seller should leave the listing available, reserved or return it to available. They must not mark it sold to someone who did not buy it. No feedback can be left without buyer confirmation.

If something goes wrong

Contact the other member first and keep the listing, messages, photographs and payment evidence. Zoa Scan can review content and account activity, but cannot recover payments or decide a private dispute.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Useful answers before you trade.

Does Zoa Scan take payment?

No. Buyers and sellers agree and complete payment directly with each other.

Does saving a frag reserve it?

No. Save frag only adds the listing to your saved items.

What does following a Frag Rack do?

It keeps that seller in your followed Frag Racks and can surface new approved listings. It does not reserve a frag or contact the seller.

Does Zoa Scan verify every seller or frag?

No. Listings are moderated before publication, but Zoa Scan does not inspect livestock, verify every seller or guarantee every claim.

When can a buyer leave feedback?

After the seller marks the listing sold, selects an eligible buyer and that buyer confirms the transaction.

What does “Transaction confirmed” mean?

The buyer and seller connected a transaction to a particular listing. It is not payment, livestock or delivery verification by Zoa Scan.

Can a seller review a buyer?

Not currently. The confirmed buyer can rate the seller.

What if the buyer does not confirm?

The transaction remains awaiting confirmation and no buyer feedback is published.

Can feedback be reported?

Yes. Reviews and seller responses can be reported for abuse, personal information, manipulation or irrelevant content.
